Kids have it so good these days. Just take a look at the birthday parties that made our top favorites. It’s clear parents went all out for their little ones this year. The cakes, decor, and activities were bigger, more colorful. The themes went from botanical to pizza-making, camp scouts, and geometric. And no matter the cost, a fun and memorable party was thrown for both kids and parents to enjoy. So here they are- our favorite kids birthday parties of 2014!

This charming mini layered cake was from this pajamas & pancakes, winter-themed birthday party planned and designed by Ashley Nicole Events. The dessert table/donut bar was just one of the highlights from this celebration.

I think we can all agree that Rifle Paper Co.’s floral prints are amazing, yes? When we saw this botanical themed 1st birthday party from Je Adore, using some of her prints we nearly died. Perfect reason to use flowers everywhere! {Photo: Je Adore and The Scalloped Window}

For the mama obsessed with peonies (who isn’t?), this peony picnic birthday party, planned by Marlan Willardson, was amaze!

Lucy Roux’s 1st birthday party came pretty late in the year, but man was it good. Her mama, Kelly Harris of Bash, Please pulled out all of her creative skills for little gal’s special day.

Last minute party ideas happen, and for Kristina, one of our Cakelet Founders, it was a pizza-making party. It was the first time she ever had a birthday party NOT at her house, and we give her props. It was so much fun!

It was fun to see how differently boys + girls celebrated a camp-themed birthday party. This one had a vintage flare to it, and turned out kind of epic if we do say so ourselves. It was hard to pick our favorite camp-themed party because there were a lot of great ones that popped up on le blog this year, but we’ve got to give a little shout out to this camp out birthday party by Little Frills. It was classic and perfect for the kiddos.

This list could have gone on forever. There is just so much creativity and imagination you can bring to a kids party. That’s probably why as parents, we go nuts planning them, right? Let’s see how the kids celebrate in ’15!
