Mateo’s 1st birthday at the Santa Monica carousel
Have you ever been to the Santa Monica Pier on a weekend, and in the summer? It’s madness. It’s kind of like that most of the time, but thankfully Mateo’s mama didn’t have to design & plan his 1st birthday around those hectic days, because this little carnival themed party here, happened in February. What we love most about it all, aside from the very edible, Mateo himself, are the sherbet colored tones Elvira used instead of the typical primary colors.
Prim & Pixie created this carousel horse silhouette that Elvira used throughout the design concept.
It really is sooo easy to make your own party hats using whatever paper or design imaginable. Throwing a little pom pom on top is kind of a must. It just brings up the cuteness factor. Here’s a simple DIY Pom-Pom Party Hat tutorial you can use!
The cutest invitations from Prim & Pixie, right?
This metallic-fringed piñata? Amaze. If you want to make one yourself (also very easy to do!), we always recommend this tutorial from Oh Happy Day!
Happiest of birthdays to you Mateo!
