When your little girl officially requests a *big girl room* for her birthday… Cue the tears! Dylan is coming up on her 10th b-day, so Abby of Beijos Events reimagined her bedroom with desert-inspired tones and lots of sweet corners for an almost-1o year old to cozy up in. (Leave it to Beijos to design an incredible room, right?! You can see all the kids parties this talented crew has dreamt up over the years here.) More photos by Dayna Studios below!

Abby snagged the supplies for this floating shelf wall on Amazon and adorned it with framed photos from Minted.

Remember last week when we went on and on about all our fave earth tone decor ideas? Today we get to soak up some of those pretty neutral vibes we’ve been dreaming of, thanks to our studio mate and friend Natalie of Veneer Designs, who’s sharing her little girl’s room design with us. And as gorgeously modern as it looks in these photos from Phoebe Joy, it’s actually full of easy, affordable pieces like this rattan chair (an Anthro find!) and an incredible Ikea bunkbed:

The bed is the Ikea Kura reversible bed. It’s so versatile and grows with your littles.

Mildly obsessed with this rainbow wall hanging too.

These black and white chairs are actually chrome Zuo Wire chairs (available right here) spray painted black + white!

And that little moon garland above the bed is only $18 at Urban Outfitters. Hello!

Hello, hello! Recognize this trio? If you follow the wedding blog, you may have seen that Jillian recently hooked up with The Container Store to revamp the closets in her + Scott’s new abode. It’s their first foray into home ownership, so they wanted to spend the time to make each room their own. You can check out their his + her closet makeover, and tomorrow she’s sharing her home office. But today, we thought those of you with littles might like a peek into their shared boys closet revamp. Take it away, Jillian…

Sharing a master closet with Scott is one thing, but fitting two boys’ (of different ages) toys, books and clothes into one space is tricky. You might shy away from open shelving, but after working with the Container Store’s design team on incorporating their elfa designs, we were sold. Somehow everything fit together perfectly, combining a closet, toy storage, and even bookshelves.

As you might remember, we’re no stranger to sharing spaces. It helps that Liam is somewhat obsessed with keeping things organized himself (no complaints there), so he actually loves the open shelving. Especially when it comes to his book collection.

It’s worth mentioning that all of the components in the elfa birch décor Shelving are adjustable. And the birch automatically goes with our decor and is easily complemented by all the colorful things our boys love.

And Dax, who is 15 months now (can you believe it?!), is all about those baskets and bins.

Of course, a floral boho nursery is still one of our faves for girls, especially when it contains DIYs like this big wall hanging.

Do you have a fave home shop for neutral decor? This all white modern Serena & Lily nursery shot by Colleen Donaldson was so fresh and timeless.

This little dolly Ramona’s wood and white room as photographed by Elza Photographie was the epitome of peace and tranquility.

Boho nurseries are still stealing our hearts, and this indigo-themed boys nursery from mama Jenna Edwards was full of inspo.

Who here loves a classic? This modern boy’s nursery + newborn shoot Sara Richardson captured is all neutrals and navy.

The classic Hamptons inspired nursery that Ariel Rose Photography shared took a safari turn when mama Courtney kept happening upon charming animal motifs.

If there’s anything to pull us from our neutral obsession, it had to be this shabby chic floral nursery that Eleni of Convey The Moment and Justine Milton shared way back at the very beginning of 2017.

Our friend Sarah of A House in the Hills was behind this modern eclectic boys nursery design.

Can’t pass up a neutral nursery mixed with mid-century minimalism. Plus, the newborn photos by Ashley Burns in the post were just beyond sweet.

So many of our blogger friends are welcoming babies and thus putting their creative skills to the test! Molly of Almost Makes Perfect put together a bright modern designer nursery that Megan Welker knew would be up our alleys.

Noah’s modern white nursery, as captured by Fulleylove Photography, was filled to the brim with cozy decor for snuggling up in.

Our editor Kristina, a self-proclaimed lover of neutrals, shared her girl Louella’s nature-inspired nursery this year too.
