Favorite baby showers of 2014
We’ve had a blast going through our 2014 archives to pull out some of our favorite baby showers, nurseries, birthday parties and maternity sessions. The inspiration this year was just bananas. There was so much pretty to look at! If you’re a brand new Cakelet reader, you’re in for a real treat. For the rest of the week we’re sharing all our favorite posts from this here blog… starting with baby showers!
Melissa Baum Events planned & designed the cutest blush & gold sip n’ see party, possibly ever.
2014 felt like the year of the dreamcatcher, didn’t it? We saw them used as decor for birthday parties, nurseries, and baby showers- like this bohemian backyard fete by Nicole Vaughn and Jen Blake from Scout.
Still dying over the florals by Sweet Marie Designs, in this vintage baby shower by Folklore Vintage Rentals.
The Beijos Events ladies do amazing work as is, but when it’s for one of their own, wow. This is just a little snippet of beauty from Jacquelyn’s Northern Cali baby shower.
Shiny mylar letter balloons were probably another one of our favorite trends of ’14. We especially loved how Alexis Teasdale, managing editor of Cosmopolitan Bride Australia and creator of The Festive Co. used them for this confetti-themed baby shower.
We’re still pretty obsessed with the springy mimosa arrangement, plus the rest of this Spanish baby shower from Kiss and Chips, and Fueron Felices.
This modern equestrian baby shower was an emotional one for a mama with twin premies. She deserved the most beautiful celebration, and hostesses Chic Celebrations, The Venue Report, Grey Likes Weddings, and La Tavola Linens delivered.
This year we showered our friend, Lauren Bradshaw with this adorable aqua baby shower. Needless to say that strawberry shortcake is still haunting our dreams, just as it did the day after!
This sweet + simple table setting, from this winter baby shower by Jay Adores Designs, may have inspired some of our Christmas tablescapes.
Did we mention how hard it was to narrow our favorites down to just this short list? It was, but we think you’ll love this roundup just as much as we did. And hey, if you’ve got some time to spare, peruse the rest of our archives, or our Pinterest boards. Endless inspiration!
