This is an exciting post for us to write because any day now, the beautiful mama-to-be, Jacquelyn of Beijos Events, will be holding her sweet little man in her arms. Until then, we’ll bask in the beauty of her second baby shower, captured perfectly by Meg Perotti. Lucky lady, right? That’s the beauty of living long distance from your family, you get to celebrate twice. We featured her Southern Cali shower here, and because all of her family is in Northern California they had to have their moment to shower her with congrats, delicious Portuguese dishes, and pretty floral crowns.

I had Meg Perotti photograph my shower and come early to get a few shots of my husband and I and my family. I am so so glad I did this and think everyone should consider it. It’s such a special time in your life and if you can’t afford to do both maternity shots and have a photographer shoot your shower it really is the best of both worlds! I was able to get special moments captured with my husband but also my grandmother which I will treasure always.  

When planning my Northern California one my mom and sister wanted to throw it at the house I grew up in and have it be a bit more traditional. This is the first grandchild for my parents so they are very excited and thrilled to say the least! We got the color inspiration off of the super cute invites from Minted which we were able to custom the color to mint, love that website…  For the rest of it we wanted a very family gathering feel to it. I have a very large Portuguese family and we wanted to put some of the focus on that part of my culture along with some of my favorite foods my Mom makes. We did long family style tables so everyone felt like they were at home as well and the conversations could go on and on and on, haha!
