Sharks and mermaids joint birthday pool party
Isn’t this painted backdrop Jacqui of Deets & Things made to complement these incredible cakes from Sweet Deetails just perfect? Jacqui has designed quite a few birthday bashes for this sweet fam all in their same backyard, which we’ve featured on Cakelet over the years. From the modern camp themed birthday to the “party like an animal” bash to this tropical 2nd birthday, they’re quite a testament to all the routes you can go for a party right at home. Thanks to Caitlin Alohilani for capturing all the under the sea fun!
Sweet Deetails came up with these three textural birthday cakes. First there’s the waves cake, then the shark and mermaid cakes for the boy-girl joint birthdays. BTW, this talented designer was also behind the epic jewel-themed cake we shared earlier this month.
Gotta have some of Frost Your Cookie‘s signature cookie sticks, too!
Jacqui made sure Oliver and Magnolia both felt extra special on this exciting day.
Jacqui explains, Archive Rentalsâ new childrenâs line Archive Littles had an amazing selection for our little ocean party, making my job easy! I wanted the shark and mermaid table to be different but complement each other and hence, the hobnail paper cups, napkins, utensils and little details were the same on both but in different colors. As per usual, Not Just in Novels did a brilliant job of capturing the essence of seaweed and coral reef respectively on each table.
The Deets & Things crafted a structure above the kids table using ribbons and balloons. So fun!
And being a pool party, naturally they needed a big balloon install over at the cabana. Really digging this pink and blue palette!
Such pretty places to hang.
They even had another creative backdrop for photos. Ribbons and streamers galore!
