Modern camp-themed 1st birthday party

Morning, mamas! Hope you all had a lovely holiday. Jacqui of Deets & Things took buffalo check and mountain motifs to a whole new level when she got a request from little Augustus’ mama to create a modern camp 1st birthday bash. It all turned out so well, Black Twine even has a party blueprint for this classic camp theme up for grabs now. Thanks to Tiffany Amber Photography for the images below!

These teeny felt flags are the cutest, aren’t they?

Jacqui says, The scenic backyard, with its lush foliage, was the perfect setting for a campsite vibe. For the adults, I dressed picnic tables with eco-friendly hexagon plates and finished them with my handmade ombre napkins and melamine twig cutlery from Michael Aram’s Madhouse line. DIY Jade colored felt flags jetted out the wildflower centerpieces to give the look a splash of color.

She also whipped up these darling wooden mountain centerpieces.

And yep, that’s a 3D bear smash cake for Mr. Gus!

Over in the Fun Zone, guests were welcomed to ‘camp out’ among pine trees, and play in the cutest trio of tents I built. They also enjoyed face painting and ballooning as well as entertainment by Jack Ranger’s puppet show and sing-a-long camp songs. It was such a pleasure to see the guests enjoy the space, make memories and eat cake!
