Party Like an Animal first birthday party
We are so on top of it with the fun kids’ party themes lately, aren’t we? (We mean, mermaids, bees, and beach bashes have all made an appearance in the last week…) Consider us intent on making the most out of this last week of August, especially with this pool party by Deets & Things, dreamt up in honor of Oliver’s first using a Black Twine party blueprint. Felt animal ears for a kids’ party is just the simplest, most fun thing ever.
Jacqui of Deets & Things wanted to keep the “party animal” theme fresh and unique, so she collaborated with artist Faboomi on the drawings so she could turn them into invites and set the stage for the party.
Love the graphic details of this backdrop!
I painted animals in stunna’ shades for all the signage and Inspired by the Painted Parade’s work, I also painted animals that Oliver already had as the center pieces for the kids table and cocktail tables. Each setting had a wildly fun animal plate topped with cookie party hats made by Sweet & Saucy Shop. (They also made AMAZING cookies to match Fabumni’s cow and lion artwork! – sooo good!) With sunshades, and the cutest assorted animal drink stirrers from Dear Heart Signs, this table was summer party ready! You can find the blueprint to recreate this table over on Black Twine.
Jacqui also made not only the party ears, but these 3d animal paper masks for the photo booth. UM, so cool. And clearly a hit!
And did we mention there was a petting zoo…?!
Yep, a pool party with a petting zoo… Now *that’s* a summer party your kiddo wants to go to.
