Mamas, this “Twin Palms” themed twin birthday party for sisters Taytum & Oakley is basically an amalgamation of every amazing pastel party we’ve ever shared, and THEN some. It’s over-the-top cute, and overflowing with rainbow fun and creative activities planned and styled by Michelle Rogers for actors Madison + Kyler to celebrate their girls’ 3rd year. First things first, the amazing twin rainbow cakes from Amriel’s Cakes amongst the insane pastel rainbow balloon backdrop Michelle Rogers dreamt up. So very good!

Coastal Cocktails was there with sweet sips for everyone to enjoy.

One Social Design styled a boho little lounge area for mingling.

Good ol’ ball pit. Never gets old, mamas, never gets old.

Think every good summer party these days has a pop cart, don’t you?

They also set up an adorable backdrop for the Foto Vibe station.

These outfits. Toooooo cute! They’re from Pleiades Designs.

As you may know, we’ve seen loads and loads of rainbow parties in our day. (The proof is in the archives, friends.) And they’re always so insanely fun. They kinda have to be, right? But there’s just something extra about channeling that when it comes time to shower a mama-to-be like Cammy of Show Me Your Mumu. If you followed her bridal shower, bachelorette party, and lakeside wedding over on 100LC, you’re probably as stoked as we are to get a peek at this next chapter in Cammy’s life—in all its rainbow, California-inspired glory, of course… Thanks to Sarah Jansson for the photos, and mama C for sharing her story, below!

The whole fete was planned by her pal Sarah Horton of Show Me Your Mumu and lots of other thoughtful friends.

They included super sweet and simple DIY projects throughout, like rainbow vases that were actually just clear vases covered in multicolored jelly bracelets. Clever, huh?

Cammy says, The shower theme was “Rainbow Baby Brunch”. We are having a girl, but I am not a huge pink person so wanted to pick a theme that felt fun and girly without being pink overload. We wanted bright colors in the flowers, decor, and food and, of course, the clothes! All of the hosts wore primary or bright colored solids and I wore a rainbow dress! I designed my dress for my baby shower–a simple smocked maxi meant to be worn while pregnant and not pregnant. I have started saying #pregsandregs for clothes that can be worn either way.

And the diaper note station, where everyone left notes on diapers for them to read when changing diapers… Hopefully turning their late night exhaustion into late night laughs!

The girls also made this rad rainbow streamer entryway backdrop out of florist ribbon, which is recyclable and waterproof, so it’s much more party-friendly than tissue streamers. Noted!

On what has inspired her the most when planning for baby… This is our first and I am a little behind on planning things and, honestly, I am OK with that. Allowing myself to enjoy this period and appreciating these last few months where it is just me, my husband, and our dog has been really special! I am behind on my nursery, but starting to tackle it this month! I found most of my nursery inspiration from pinterest and instagram. Babyletto has great nursery inspo, 100 Layer Cakelet has awesome party and decor inspo, and Spearmint for cute clothes!

I spent my whole life babysitting adorable children that have grown into beautiful adults that I still keep up with to this day! To have our own little babe that we can raise and love is so exciting! I truly can’t wait for all of it—the good, the bad—I want it all and I am really just so grateful to finally be a mama.

In case any of you are wondering how to get our attention over here at Cakelet, a single image filled with rainbow balloons, pastel unicorns, disco balls, confetti AND sweets is pretty much guaranteed to stop us in our tracks. Royale Ziegler of But First, Party! whipped up this sweet birthday party at Oh Shiny Paper Co, and the pastel theme combined with shiny disco-inspired accents is just too easy to get inspired by. The whole color story was inspired by new partyware line, Daydream Society and their over the rainbow collection. Candy colors + holographic foil = one festive combo for a little gal to love.

Yep. Think these just might be the yummiest looking cupcakes ever. Props to Sugar Crush Sweets!

And the talented Susie Cakes whipped up this little pink number. Disco balls forever!

Always so fun to see a rainbow theme translated to fresh flowers, too.

Not that there’s ever a time that a rainbow birthday party *isn’t* majorly awesome, but we think you’ll agree that this joint b-day bash Deets & Things styled up is a whole new level of theme party fun. Especially since it was inspired by the chic lil’ Chloé rainbow dresses (scroll down!) mama Liz bought her daughters Josephine + Eleanor in honor of their 4th and 5th birthdays. …First off, the aforementioned Chloé rainbow dresses. Super cute muse, if you ask us!

La Tavola‘s ‘Fiesta’ linens set the stage for the whole shindig.

Jacqui of Deets & Things says, Their backyard lounge was dressed with bright pillows, and cascading balloons in their outdoor fireplace. With Love Calligraphy’s fun script popped against the acrylic signs I painted and Not Just in Novel’s gorgeous rainbow blooms in Celfie vases gave the party space a fun and funky vibe.

Oh how we love checking the Cakelet inboxes to see the sweetest, most thoughtful parties. Mega bonus if they are beyond cheerful *and* full of nostalgia like this Care Bear themed 2nd bithday Laura of IDA ROSE EVENTS dreamt up for her own girl London. And since nothing makes rainbow pop like a bright white space, they set up camp at Nook and enlisted Rachel May Photography to capture the celebration. Shall we?!

Soooo well executed, Laura! In love with these little goodie bags and all the signage throughout.

This little rainbow kid had the most colorful party, full of the favorite 90′s nostalgic care bear cartoon friends! Soft pastels with bright pops of every color on the spectrum decorated the all-white room where fluffy clouds hung from the ceiling, and cotton candy kept everyone’s hands full. 

The DIY backdrop complete with rainbow blooms and streamers totally upped their photo game. Can’t you see this being recreated in different hues for different occasions?

Sugar Studio was behind these cute cookies.

And Brightly Ever After created the clouds hanging overhead. Brilliant!

Scrumptious, mini comfort food and a wonderfully packed dessert spread highlighted London’s love of treats, while a stocked bar helped the parents stay strong! The birthday girl wore a white feathery dress and a rainbow play outfit, and didn’t stop moving the whole time. 

Another darling cake for the books, too. Kudos to Fluffy Thoughts Cakes on nailing the Care Bear theme.
