Morning mamas! Remember a couple weeks back when we invited you all to the book launch party of Henry’s Bright Idea by our friend Lauren of Walnut Animal Society? (If not, you can learn all about the book here). Safe to say the event at Urbanic Paper Boutique in Venice was a complete success! Naturally we wanted to share the recap by Great Romance Photo:

Happy Friday mamas! It’s fall! Can you believe it? Don’t know about you but we’re so ready for the change in seasons. Of course here in LA we’ve got another few weeks of summer ahead of us, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited for seasonal activities with our little ones. WHICH speaking of… our dear friend Lauren of Walnut Animal Society (love her heirloom quality animals sooooo much!) just released the first in a series of children’s books, starring the very animals that she’s created.

AND more importantly for LA families, she’s hosting a little book launch party and reading at Urbanic Paper Boutique in Venice tomorrow! We’d love to see you there if you’re in the neighborhood! Last month our friend Michael organized a two week long Pop-Up Shop to showcase his new (and totally amazing) retail furniture line YEAH! Furniture. He’s the genius behind YEAH! Rentals and The Flashdance, and we’re pretty sure that everything he does is a guaranteed good time. If you were able to stop by the event at the Hudson Loft, you know what we mean! The final event was a family brunch hosted by Whoa Nelly and their business Good Morning!, a small event catering concept meant specifically for Brunch. It was delicious. And thanks to Beijos Events, MV Florals, Opposite of Far, and Borrowed Blu, a beautiful party too.

All the furniture is available for purchase via YEAH! Furniture, if you’re so inclined. It’s gorgeous in person!

Hello Cakelets! Liam and I popped by Crafting Community at the Ace Hotel this year. Sadly, we couldn’t stay for the whole event but we wanted to share a few of our favorite crafts. Liam loved making the balloon boat and gods eye wall hanging. If we had stayed longer it would of been so great to check out Whitney’s underwater photography workshop and Justina Blakeney’s foliage sun prints station. So many amazing crafts to do with your kids. We couldn’t think of a better way to bond as a family.
