Hello Cakelets, Jillian here! As many of you know, I welcomed baby #2, Daxton, a few months ago. He’s now 4 months!!! Crazy how it flies by the second time. He’s such a good baby, and always up for our crazy adventures. Since we’re a pretty active family, we knew we’d need a stroller that would fit our lifestyle. The Orbit Jogger and Carseat is the perfect match! So a couple of weeks ago, we took it out for a spin, and ventured out to Grassini Family Vineyards in Santa Ynez Valley. It’s a beautiful property with rolling hills, a clear blue pond, amazing vino, and swing for the kiddos. It really couldn’t be a better spot, especially in the fall, for families.

One of my favorite aspects of this stroller is how easy it is to get baby in and out of the car seat. The SmartHub™ allows you to first dock the car seat, adjust the harness while the baby faces you, then rotate the car seat into rear facing position, all without twisting and straining your back. You can see it in action here. I also can easily leave him in the G3 Infant Car Seat and transfer him to the Jogger undisturbed. It makes life with baby a little less stressful.

Happy Christmas Eve to everyone! Thought we’d share some photos of a very sweet charity playdate organized by Isobel of Bel and Beau and Kelli Murray for their kiddos and friends. Perfect way to remind us all that giving is so much more satisfying than receiving.

Here’s a bit about the inspiration for the party from Isobel:

When Christmas decor starting popping up everywhere at the end of December, Holden could not stop talking about Christmas…specifically what he wanted for Christmas…about twenty times a day. I knew I needed to change the conversation because two months of hearing “I want” on daily basis was going to drive me crazy. We started discussing the true meaning of Christmas which led to Holden expressing interest in helping other children that weren’t as fortunate as he, specifically bringing them toys.

So together, with friends Kelli Murray and her daughter Rylee, we came up with the idea to host a holiday party and toy drive, which we called Holiplay Holiday, for parents and children to party, sing, dance, craft, and give back. We hoped that by inviting kids to our fun event, that we could encourage other children to get involved in giving back this holiday season.

We collaborated with some amazing vendors, brands and businesses to create this wonderful event and when it was all said and done, we had hundreds of donated toys. The day before the event, we heard that the Salvation Army in San Diego had a shortage of toys, so we decided that was where we wanted to donate the toys from the event and we were able to donate two huge carloads of toys to the Salvation Army.

To encourage people to come out to the event and donate to our toy drive, we partnered with some amazing brands and businesses to giveaway some great products for both the children and mothers in attendance.

The first 25 guests to arrive at the event received a Petunia Pickle Bottom Shopping Tote stuffed with fun goodies from some of our favorite brands, including Steam Train, Dream Train from Chronicle Books, a reindeer from Build-A-Bear, a puzzle from BabyLit, sunglasses from Roshombo Baby, a pair of socks from Pals Socks, a hat from Grom Squad, bubble bath from Babyganics, and free lashes from Ciao Bella.

Throughout the event, we ran giveaways for those that donated a toy including

The lovely ladies of Beijos Events are back with this super cute Christmas playdate they hosted for their growing brood a littles. They partnered with Land of Nod for lots of cute decor and we’re kind of wishing we had gone the modern, bright route for our decor this year too!

Those plates are pretty much all you need for a festive celebration. They go pretty nicely with Land of Nod’s holiday decor this year.

That pretty mama is friend + handmade doll maker, Lauren Bradshaw of Walnut Animal Society. She recently welcomed baby #2, so when her new family of four took a trip to the patch we tagged along and had Rebecca Fishman snap photos to show you exactly how versatile it was while hunting for pumpkins.

It wouldn’t be a 100LC shoot without a pretty fall-inspired bouquet. We made it using the skills taught in our DIY Bridesmaid Bouquet Bug video class with Shotgun Floral Studio. You can check that out here, if you’re interested!

If that tiny face doesn’t convince you that he’s as comfortable as can be, we don’t know what will. You can leave them napping in the G3 Infant Car Seat, transfer them to the G3 Bassinet and keep them undisturbed from nursery to stroller and back again; use it on its own as a moses-basket in the home, on the rocker as a cradle, or dock it onto a stroller for a designer pram. Like we said, it travels easily, folding to just six inches.

LA families – if you haven’t been to Underwood Family Farms, it’s kind of epic this time of year!

We had such a fun time with this lil’ family, and it was fun to see Lauren quickly become obsessed with the stroller.

They used a roll of black chalkboard paper as the table runner so they could write the flavors of ice cream with chalkboard pens and left a few scattered on the table so the partygoers go draw on at the end of the party.
