Fiesta-themed birthday parties are always a good idea, if you ask us. But we especially love the party Julie planned for her son Henry’s first at Chicken Scratch in Dallas with it’s modern Mexican details and Aztec-influenced graphics.

As Julie says, the theme was perfect for her family, as she and her husband were married in Santa Fe and Henry was conceived in Mexico. Oooh la la! Great place to make a baby.

Most of the decor was handmade by Julie and her hubs (love when Papa gets in on the DIY!), including the favor bags, potato stamped cups, triangle cupcake toppers, garland, and hand-painted cacti and aloe containers.

The potato stamped cups are such a perfectly simple way to add a bit of design to a party, aren’t they?

Look at all of these beautiful mamas and babies. It’s the best to have friends with babies the same age.
