Paper doll birthday playdate by Bibliosophy
It was almost a year ago to the day (almost), that we featured Bibliosophy’s Easter tree project. Cute, no? Go ahead and bookmark it to use for Easter if you didn’t see it last year! This year, Bley sent us another sweet little idea that would make the perfect activity at a little girl’s birthday party, sleepover, or casual playdate where girls and moms come together over cake and tea.
Bley painted watercolor portraits of each girl at the party, and printed copies to make into paper dolls, and to use as favors. Each little girl received a muslin bag with a custom paper doll, a blank notebook with their portrait, a sweet little set of watercolors to paint more doll clothes, and the original portrait to take to Mom and Dad.
At the party, the girls got to watercolor their own little dresses + birthday accessories and were able to cut them out and put them on their paper dolls.
All while munching on marcarons and cupcakes, of course.
So very nostalgic! What a fun idea for wall decor too. Clothespinning a few paper doll dresses to a string and hanging it in your little’s room, don’t you think?
You can contact Bley via her Etsy Shop to create a custom party package of cute portraits like the ones she made for her daughter’s 4th birthday.

As a parent one needs to choose appropriate games, food, themes and venue for the kids birthday party. If you really want to make the special event more memorable, hire the services of a private party restaurant. They arrange all the things by themselves.
