Parker’s NYC backyard 1st birthday in Texas
Brandi Hines, the creative force behind Fit to Be Tied Events, planned this colorful backyard birthday party for her son Parker’s first. Love the modern elements mixed with old-fashioned fun, like coke and a hot dog cart. Lots of good ideas here, mamas!
The inspiration was actually NYC, hence the taxis and city skyline (made from blocks), the hot dogs, and central park-like blankets laid on the grass.
Instagram snaps from the first year truly make the best decorations!
These Janod blocks (which we totally have too!) were the inspiration for the colors of the party. Brandi made life size versions for the backyard. Amazing!
More geometric garland! Is it safe to say that’s a big trend in kid’s parties? We love.
A fringey piñata! Kristina made the same #1 for Forrest’s fiesta first birthday in June, following the Oh Happy Day tutorial.
What a sweet little guy. Hi Parker!
So cute and so fun. Thanks for sharing Brandi!
