Unique, feminine girl’s 13th birthday party

We don’t share nearly enough big kid parties here on Cakelet, do we? And definitely not enough *teen* parties, that’s for sure! 13 is a SUPER big milestone, and as mama Heather of Petals & Stones + Beauty and the Beach shared, it can be surprisingly difficult to plan a celebration for. Especially when your girl is already wise beyond her years, like Mila. So being the beauty guru that she is, Heather dreamed up a relaxed, bohemian party where all the girls and their moms could get all dolled up and have a few photos by Camryn Clair Photography taken of this sweet day…

Mila had seen her mama and the gals at Beauty and the Beach work her magic on brides and models for years, and now she was old enough for a little peek at all she does. Tastefully, of course! Heather thought, every young girl wants to feel great about herself especially during those early teen years, and every girl deserves to celebrate her unique beauty and grow their confidence! So, why not create that special opportunity while keeping it age appropriate?

The concept was a hit with the girls and their mothers with tasteful makeup, modest wardrobe, beautiful hair while encouraging friendships and collaboration, and photograph it with a styled set (we so love that you could make this as simple or as elaborate as you wish). The girls walked away from this special birthday party with beautiful images and a boost of confidence in who they were created to be!
