Modern family Cinco De Mayo party
Morning, mamas! Got any plans for this first weekend in May? Chelsea + Jamie of Sugar Paper sent over this sweet little modern Cinco de Mayo party just in time for our Friday festivities. They have a tradition of getting together with other biz owning mamas and their littles at the end of a long week so this was a fun way to take their regular gatherings up a notch in honor of the holiday. This backyard space. SO gorg. A few deets: When Cinco de Mayo approached and happened to fall on a Friday it was only natural that we would be together. Rather than let it pass, we decided to bring our collective talents together and throw a party for our closest friends. Shannon, an interior designer, just built a beautiful new home that was created for outdoor entertaining. Maire, a chef and the owner of Thyme Cafe & Market, took on the food, and Chelsea and Jamie focused on the details.

We’re suckers for a good modern, natural interior. Had to include a few home shots of this incredible space.
OK, it’s definitive: the kiddos had just as much fun celebrating as the mamas.
Parker Bent is known (and loved) greatly by Westside moms. He’s part of the music curriculum at many of the area preschools and his take on music includes the kids and the parents alike. Think Rolling Stones meets Yo Gabba Gabba. His children attend school with Chelsea and Jamie’s children and we’re lucky to call him a friend.
