Isn’t this the sweetest lil’ celestial birthday cake you’ve ever seen? Hey There Cupcake whipped it up in honor of Taryn of Twinkle & Toast’s girl Avery. For her first birthday, they wanted to celebrate with a theme you don’t see too often for girl’s party, and since dad has a big love for outer space and all things cosmos, the “first trip around the sun” theme was born. Thanks to Jackie Wonders Photography for sending over so many fantastic images!

Taryn says, We were inspired by the cosmos, planets, solar system and science, all with a feminine color palette of dusty blues and pinks, silver, white and holographic sparkle. I took my concept to my friend Jill from Layered Vintage who imagined flowers floating space (or exploding out of our tree in our backyard!), created a cosmic backdrop and tied all of the overall vision together.

As expected, Twinkle & Toast dreamt up some beautiful paper goods of her own.

All the silvery, glittery space themed elements look so spectacular together, if you ask us!

And these super fun drink stirrers from The Roc Shop… Looking fab with all the glassware Hostess Haven brought over.

Witty Rentals brought in a futuristic lounge plus the cutest mini mid-century chairs for our littles to do some crafts on: DIY star crowns and custom designed solar system coloring pages… Adults and kids alike obviously were swooning over the dessert spread from Hey There Cupcake, with actual handmade edible sugar geodes (among other goodies)!  We were so lucky to have Jackie Wonders capture this beautiful day, as she really has a way with the little ones.
