How does little Phoenix follow his first birthday party? With this equally as awesome dino party, planned and designed by his talented mama, Jennifer Laura. She wanted to give the theme a modern look, so she started with a bold pattern and a fresh color palette of varying shades of green.

This triangle pattern is an easy way to add a huge pop to your decor, or even use as a photobooth backdrop, no?

It’s a modern party, so obvs these dinosaur toys had to get a little, colorful makeover to fit the party. It’s a fun project to get the kids involved with too! To turn them into planters, Jennifer drilled a hole in their backs and placed air plants inside.

Jennifer says, “We also made a big sandbox filled with dinosaur bones for a little dino dig, since the kiddos were primarily 2 they had more interest in throwing the sand, but it was all in good fun”.

If you’re wondering where you can score party hats in this color, you can’t. She couldn’t seem to find the right shades of green in a party hat anywhere, do she DIY’d it and hot glued a set of dino spikes to the back.
