Morning, mamas! How sweet is this wintry little cake by The Sweet Lemon Bakeshop? This ‘Art-ic Wonderland” birthday party captured by Alison Bernier perfectly rounds out our month of holiday festivities, like our sugar plum fairy and winter wonderland parties, we think. Talented mama Meagan of MV Florals mixed artsy activities with winter decor for her girl Summer at the studio she attends, Art + Soul Collective. It’s pretty magical and such a good example of dreaming up something that’ll fit your little to a T.

Meagan says, Art is my daughter Summer’s favorite subject and we thought it would be fun to have her closest friends do art together! The girls learned how to roll clay and create patterns. Each girl could pick different shapes and cutters and create their own ornaments. All the ornaments were a gift to each girl.  

We’ve seen MV Florals work magic on many a colorful bloom in the past, but these all-white arrangements sure are pretty. Fluffy sweat peas, baby’s breath, and preserved white ferns gave them all a winter look.

We love the snow and this year we weren’t able to make it to Canada where my family is from, so we thought we would bring a little winter for the party. The snowflakes were a DIY project with a Cricut cutter. We love The Daydream Society’s “Frosted” collection which worked perfectly on the tables and the tattoos as part of the girls treat bags.  

And since Summer is a huge fan of pink, she included soft pinks and iridescent hues in the décor and cake too.

The girls munched on all the goodies while they worked away at their creations!

Morning, mamas! Wasn’t yesterday’s winter wonderland birthday party so pretty? (Snowflake macarons forever!) Today we’re fawning over the amazing baby shower that Adriana of The Creative’s Loft and her talented industry pals put on for her baby shower over in Miami. She and her hubs decided to celebrate their wedding anniversary and the arrival of their forthcoming bebe Hugo by welcoming their friends into their backyard for this warm winter fête captured by Brandi Toole:

The whitewashed tables and pretty green goblets from Pretty Tables sure make for a lovely ‘scape, don’t you think?

Love all the botanicals chosen by Primrose, too!

So sweet.

Boxxed Events set up this charming little photo booth for guests to pop into during the festivities.

Rodrigo Valdez and his crew put on a flamenco performance for guests right in the backyard, too. Fun!

This lovely romantic baby shower comes to us from Chris Isham, who is good friends with mama Katelyn of ModFete + her husband Nathan (see above!). They all got together at a beautiful space called GB&D in Greenville, SC and even had some time for snowy winter portraits out front. And the dessert spread you’re about to see? Y–U-M.

Tessa, owner of Pylon Cake, didn’t just bake the cakes. She planned + styled the shower too!

Greenery and exposed brick… It never gets old.

Um, such a fab shower activity, right?

Ah February. The month in which winter officially loses all of its enchantment and we look to the next season (after Valentine’s Day wraps up of course). That is, unless your girl is turning 6 and you have this idea to throw a winter wonderland themed birthday party in honor of the prettiest little ice queen ever. Thanks to mama Amber of Dulcet Creative + Amanda Christine Photo for making winter magical again, hot cocoa station, snow machine and all.

A pretty fabulous thrown for an ice queen, yes?

Amber says, We decorated with mixed metals and glitter snow everywhere. We had a gourmet hot chocolate bar with a menu I created for six different hot chocolate recipes that guests could mix up themselves and try. We had a snowflake tattoo booth, Snow Playdough, a DIY mini wonderland snow globe station and a snowball slingshot station. The favorite part of the whole day was when we started up the snow machine and blasted “Let it Go” for all the kids to dance and sing in all the snow flurries.

Betcha mama was thrilled with how these captures of birthday girl Marley turned out, especially in that cute dress from Etsy.

This minty holiday party comes to us from Jenny of Bloom Designs Online. It’s a family tradition to host a cookie decorating party every year on the last day of school before winter break. Isn’t that so fun? Everyone is encouraged to come in their pajamas and after the cookie madness, the whole party snuggles up for movie night! This is the party she hosted last year and we’re betting her kiddos are really looking forward to this year’s too.

A limited color palette always makes a party feel very well-planned and executed. No matter what crazy designs the kiddos make, their cookies always match!

Jenny has four kids (plus their friends!) so she always chooses decor and snacks that can be made well in advance. A pro tip for sure!

So fun. Can you imagine how excited the kids are when they come home from school to THIS?! Hope this inspires some of you to create something festive for your family this year too. You can even purchase the printables, door sign, milk containers, and straws from Jenny’s online shop!
