How sweet was the backyard 4th of July party we shared earlier this week, you guys? As promised, we have some more kid-friendly 4th of July party inspiration, thanks to Megan Welker and the team at Beijos Events. This party has another fun take on red, white, and blue with some pretty peonies and creative desserts and an expertly curated kids’ table, because that’s what happens when the mamas in attendance are hostesses too!

There is seriously no shortage of creative 4th of July desserts in this party, mamas.

Frost Your Cookie really brought it with the USA and star-spangled treats.

Meghann Miniello whipped up this playful invite for the occasion.

Pretty sure “Party in the USA” is officially a classic 4th of July theme.

We can always count on Creative Amme for fun little party details!

And how easy and yet totally fun is a balloon wall backdrop for a party like this? Reminds us of this heart balloon backdrop from way back when. Simple and festive!

Did we mention the stars of the show, right here?! The girls donned Kinder Co clothing and accessories from The Daydream Republic. There’s some fun swimwear mixed in too!

Hi Cakies! Jillian here. Today’s a very special day because I’m sharing my son Daxton’s 2nd birthday party. He was born on August 1st, which coincidentally, is the same day that Jerry Garcia was born. Don’t all of you look up to find out if anyone famous was born on your birthday? Ha! After finding out that little tidbit, I ran with the Summer Of Love, hippie vibe for my little man. His look is kind of perfect for it, don’t you think? See all the deets below!

When coordinating this this kids’ birthday party, I started planning about two months out. The first step? Design and order all the custom paper goods from For Your Party. This can take about two weeks, so I knew I had to make that happen stat. Next, I wanted to make DIY Tie Dye Tees as favors for all the kids. Luckily for me, Kristina just threw her son a tie-dye party, so I had all of the dyes at my disposal. This way Daxton also had an outfit for the party.

I rented the tables, poufs, benches, and tee-pees from Teak & Lace. They specifically rent items for children’s parties, so they’re perfectly kid-friendly.

We decided to set up the party in our backyard. And, wow, it was a dream seeing all of our friends and kids just relaxing in the yard after a lot of renovation.

Because it was Summer of Love themed, I had to make a DIY faux floral wreath. You can click here to see the full DIY.

Oh, and my favorite part has to be the sweets. Danielle of Sheila Mae created some super fun cookies and this amazing semi-naked cake. I adorned it with chamomile flowers to add to the hippie vibe.

What do you do when your little man wants a shark-themed birthday party, but your girl’s b-day is so so close to his? You haul in some sand, pink balloons, and a whole slew of sweets for a double birthday that’s both shark and beach-themed, that’s what. South Africa based Mama Melissa B, who has a super cute IG full of sweet family moments, BTW, was the brains behind this fun blue + pink party for Oliver and Anouk, turning four and two. And yeah, it’s pretty much the best.

Melissa scoured Etsy for two sets of party invites, each with its respective theme.

These felt fish are the perfect party-slash-decor piece, aren’t they? So cute, Vlooi!

Eeee! These kiddos are toooooo darling! Love your beach look, girl!

All the yummy cakes and cake pops were done by MmmMacarons, which they paired with pink and aqua ice cream.

This candy colored palette and party full o’ sand sure has us excited for the summer months. Happy birthday to this bro and sis!

If you’re reading this and *don’t* have a first birthday celebration on the books, worry not because this beach bash Jacquelyn of Beijos Events whipped up for Alatheia of Art of Being Female‘s girl Elle could inspire just about any sunny day affair. It’s got such a cheerful yellow Italian beach theme that would be pretty perfect for a summery baby shower or family gathering, if you can imagine. And the photos Alison Bernier shared prove just how fun both littles AND bigs had at this one, as you’ll see:
