Perhaps it’s because school’s officially out, but summer really has us appreciating beautiful family photo sessions like this. Our guide member Hello Pinecone Photography captured these wildflower photos of mama, novelist Lydia Fitzpatrick (her forthcoming novel is Lights All Night Long—look out for it in 2019!), and her sweet fam on a cloudy summer day in Topanga Canyon. They’re sure a good reminder to capture all those outings to come!

We’re big fans of sunny, happy maternity sessions around these parts. To set up the scene a bit for ya, Chris is a chef + maker of stunning furniture and Amber works in the fashion industry. Which basically means it’s safe to assume that all these shots by Amanda Gallant of Max & Friends perfectly rep these folks’ rad creative vibe.

And isn’t their Hollywood abode so rad? Chris’s grandfather built it with his own hands in the 40s and they brought it to life with all the old charm in tact.
