Baby showers at Festoon are quickly becoming some of our very fave affairs, especially those of the pretty pastel variety, a la our friend Robin of RMBO Collective. She whipped up a dreamy gender neutral baby shower to complement mama-to-be Heather’s laid back California boho style, complete with all the positive vibes. Thanks to Emily Jane Photography for capturing this beautiful afternoon!

RMBO Collective says, Festoon LA was the perfect blank slate space with amazing natural light for this afternoon event. We used a neutral palette mixed with pastel crystal tones and organic greens. A variety of crystals and Palo Santo wood were used as decor and ensured that the good vibes were flowing throughout the whole event space. Graphic printed swaddle blankets were chosen for the table runners and could be repurposed as a baby gift for the mama to be. 

Super gorg setup, check!

This sweet little baby boy, who we lovingly refer to as Little 6 because he will be the sixth of his name—Edwin Warwick Miller, VI—has already had a cocktail named after him: the Little Sixer Spritzer! We printed his nickname on cocktail napkins and glassware for an extra special personalized touch. 

Mildly obsessed with all the vessels RMBO Collective‘s florals were arranged in.

Guests snacked on grazing boards from Just Add Wine LA and bites from Lodge Bread Company.

Heather’s baby shower was all about positive, welcoming vibes for this beloved mama and her baby boy. Some of her best friends, Joanne, Jules, Morgan, Bridgett and Robin, hosted the gathering of 30 guests for an afternoon of laid back pampering, bites and positive energy. 

They also had a onesie decorating station and guests went home with candle favors that, once melted down revealed a hidden crystal inside! See more details in our inspiration gallery:

How we love when we get to follow a past bride into motherhood. You might remember Janna from this SoCal themed bridal shower her sister Jacquelyn of Beijos Events threw for her on 100LC. Boy does time fly, because we’re now sharing her baby shower also planned by her bestie-slash-sis. Janna and her hubs aren’t planning to find out the sex of the baby beforehand (Eeee! The anticipation!), so they opted for a backyard happy hour theme at their SoCal home.

Jacquelyn says, I’m so excited for my sister Janna to have her first baby this March! She is my only sibling and this is the first time I’ll be an aunt! I decided on a neutral color palette that may have come across a little feminine but the blue walls at Janna’s home made it a bit more masculine! Her lovely friends and I threw it together complete with beautiful florals, fun balloons, delicious food and drinks and the prettiest desserts. All for a special baby that I can’t wait to meet!

Pretty darn perfect for a March baby, don’t you think?

These backyard blues definitely tied the whole thing together.

Really, everything the team at Before I Do Events put together for this gender reveal shower at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is oh so beautifully executed and lovely inspiration for just about any spring fête on the horizon. The sand, the perfect beach day, the cool ocean breeze, the dreamy setup, the special women surrounding me and a growing life in my tummy. Pinch me! Not much can get better than that! Throwing an intimate baby shower on the beach was a dream vision for me as my husband and I, we are true beach nuts through and through and we hope to instill that same love to our baby. Thanks to my two best friends, one being my business partner at Before I Do events, and some amazing partners in the events industry, my baby shower vision came to life in a way I will always cherish. 

Sippin’ pretty on the beach, don’t mind if we do…

Yep. Safe to say we’re pretty darn obsessed with Theresa of Sweet Paper‘s work here.

Not to mention the all-white dress code!

The brunch and specialty cocktails, provided by the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club Catering was not only delicious, but equally as beautiful, including custom speciality cocktails such as “Mom”-osa’s, Le”mom”ades, and “Belly”-ni’s all topped with edible flowers. We brought in our favorite dessert goods—French macarons, custom baby sugar cookies, lemadamia and frangipane mini tartes from the one and only Michele Coulon Dessertier of La Jolla.

Blue and pink floral linens from La Tavola brought the luxe beach theme together.

Tam from Isari Floral Studio created a spring palette of blooms and fresh greens to adorn the tables and umbrellas.
