This beautiful session styled and shot by Marisa Belle Photography in the desert outside of Phoenix certainly takes a maternity session to another level! Isn’t it lovely inspiration for a baby shower too? Lots more pretty ideas and the sweet mama with her daughter (and bump!) after the jump.

The venue is Scorpion Gulch in Phoenix. Don’t those rustic textures and colors give such a beautiful feeling to the shoot?

For Christmas, Lauren Ristow built a swing for her entire family to fit on (a dream she’s had for a long time), and added a fifth member to the family, of the furry kind. Mom and daughter wore the cutest matching floral crowns, and there were plenty of puppy snuggles and kisses to go around. There’s no denying Jessica Downey Photo had the most fun photographing them. Happy Friday!

Golden hour maternity photos by Yes, Dear Studio

Are any of you planning to take maternity photos over the weekend? May we suggest taking them about an hour before sunset, or an hour before sunrise, if you can get up that early? That’s the almighty golden hour. You get the best natural light and it makes for some of the most gorgeous photos, like the ones that Yes, Dear Studio took of mom-to-be, Rhea.

Spanish-style maternity photos by Megan Welker

Love the thought that went into this beautiful maternity and family shoot by Megan Welker. The mama, Eva Marie, is a photographer herself, so she really wanted to portray a feeling, set a scene, and tell a story with her images. She wanted her photos to look pretty in pink because she’s having a girl, and also wanted to incorporate a Mexican/Spanish feel to represent her family’s heritage.

We think they’re spectacular.
