If you love adorably styled parties and going all out for your little dolly’s first birthday (we’ll assume that’s why you’re here, anyway!), then you know that the cake smash is kiiind of a big deal. Every now and then we see one so sweet it warrants its own post, like this particular cake smash coming to us from Koman Photography and Frankly.Weddings. Let’s dig in, already!

Baby girl 1st birthday cake smash extravaganza

I don’t think you guys know the amount of cuteness that we’re about to unload on you. All of these babies turned one around the same time, and all of their mamas, who met via Instagram (don’t you love when social media works in that way?), thought it would be an adorable riot to have them all celebrate their friendship and first year with a cake smash extravaganza. First birthday cake smash sesh from Caroline Tran

If first birthday parties didn’t have to happen, and you only had the chance to stage a fun little cake smash photo sesh, like this one styled by mama, Cheryl Underwood, we’re pretty sure we’d want it to look a lot like this. Caroline Tran would have to be there to photograph it, and to style it all too, because we all know how amazing she is, right?

Moonrise Kingdom birthday ideas and cake smash

You’ve seen Moonrise Kingdom, yes? That’s pretty much what came to mind when Alanna Andes sent us photos from her little guy’s 1st birthday. And since the temps are warming up, and summer camp themed parties are just right around the corner, we thought you’d dig some of these crafty ideas. Plus… who doesn’t love a good cake smash?

How cute is that itty bitty triangle garland that Alanna made for the invites?

Mama Alanna also made these rad arrows that are now hanging up in little Jude’s nursery.
