It’s always extra fun to get a peek into the homes of some of the creative biz owners we admire, especially when they’re pros at creating inspired spaces, like Sara Sugarman Brenner, founder of Lulu & Georgia. She teamed up with Ginny MacDonald to design a nursery for her second little one, Max, that felt sophisticated and classic with a touch of California charm—and left plenty of room for growing into. Find all the photos from Amy Bartlam Photography and shop your fave L&G pieces below!

They kicked off the entire design by choosing a wallpaper that was appropriate for a new baby’s space yet will transform as their family grows.

Doesn’t it look so bright and cozy adorning the walls? Sara wanted to give everything a bit of a traditional vibe with whimsical elements that didn’t stray too far from their Spanish-style home.

And this big Moroccan pouf comes in loads of hues.

Ever see a pretty nursery design and wonder how the fam went about refreshing the space for baby #2? Our friend Paige Jones shared the first iteration of this Lou’s Portland nursery back when it was big bro’s space (see the modern boho design here, for reference) that has since been completely transformed. If you follow Paige on Instagram, you won’t be surprised that fresh, modern, earthy pastels made up this sweet design, all in honor of little Lou.

Happy Friday, mamas! Isn’t this the sweetest, most loving photo of a brand new fam ever? Sabrina of One Another Photography sent it over as part of Ashley and Kenny’s Fresh 48 session with new bebe Phoenix in their San Luis Obispo home. Have you ever heard of a Fresh 48? They’re a little different than typical newborn sessions (and mamas, you can absolutely do both!) in that they are specifically documenting those first days after labor…

They can be captured at the hospital, birthing center, or even the fam’s home, like this sweet modern nursery K + A shared.

Isn’t this space so serene and welcoming?

Sabrina tells us, They were the sweetest of new parents. The fullness of love, exhaustion, ‘am I doing this right?,’ togetherness and strength was palpable in our session. I am so grateful to be able to capture such special moments like these.
