We’re just a teensy bit in denial after a beautiful summer, but this back-to-school party from our fave duo Alison Bernier and Beijos Events reminds us of all the exciting times to come with a new school year around the corner. More books and crafts and friends and of course, a few new outfits and fun on the weekends, too.

Anyone ever seen school glue as a kids’ party cake topper? You’re welcome.

Remember that bright, creative girl’s room we shared last week from Visual Vocabularie? Well, she’s got another cute post for you all too. This dress! Her daughter wore it the first day of school but you could totally do this for a holiday gift for your little one! You have to see the video after the jump of how she turned her daughter’s drawing into a pattern for Spoonflower. She did it all by hand and with her phone. No graphic designing skills needed.

Suppose since Labor Day has officially come and gone, it’s time to start thinking about all of the goodness that comes with fall. Here in Southern California it’s still sunny and warm, but we’re betting that up north in BC the days are cooling off and fall is setting in. Sounds dreamy. This cute back to school shoot by Cindy of Confetti Sparkle and Kristina of The Swank Social makes us pretty excited for cider and pie and sweaters and chilly mornings and (dare we say it?) costumes.

An apple orchard is a pretty perfect setting, huh?

They picked up all of the flowers from a roadside stand for $2.00 a bunch. Such a cute way to decorate any festive event.
