Double birthdays are the bestest. Afterward, the crew went to LACMA for a stroll and ended at Au Fudge in West Hollywood. Perfect LA day, if you ask us.

Have any of you been apple picking with your kiddos this fall season? Jacquelyn & Leah of Beijos Events, Erica of 1011 Makeup, & Carissa of JL Designs + Little Style Collective recently set out for a day of picnic-ing + apple picking, and it looks so so fun! As you can imagine when the gals at Beijos are behind such an event, it was full of festive elements. Thanks to Megan Welker for the photos!

The baskets, tabletop accessories, and stuffed animals you’ll see throughout the photos were all fair trade by The Little Market.

ILLUSTORIA was dreamt up by former children’s book editor Joanne Chan. A bit about her inspiration… A mom of two creative, school-aged kids, Joanne searched for a magazine that could inspire art projects and conversations, one with engaging articles on contemporary artists and makers, one with a DIY feel that could inspire a DIY attitude. When she didn’t find what she was looking for in the marketplace, she decided to start ILLUSTORIA.

With all the interviews, stories, and activities, it’s just as much fun for bigs as littles.

How would we all feel about one final cookie decorating party before we turn in for the winter? This one is particularly lovely in it’s modern styling (by the talented Anthony Diaz of Anthony & Stork), and we’re kind of wishing we were hosting one of these this afternoon with our kiddos. Instead we’ll be running around like crazy people wrapping and cooking and doing all the things that moms do in the last few days before the big man arrives.

Tiled fireplace is definitely on the must-have list! Wonder if Santa would take a last minute addition?

The lovely ladies of Beijos Events are back with this super cute Christmas playdate they hosted for their growing brood a littles. They partnered with Land of Nod for lots of cute decor and we’re kind of wishing we had gone the modern, bright route for our decor this year too!

Those plates are pretty much all you need for a festive celebration. They go pretty nicely with Land of Nod’s holiday decor this year.
