How sweet was the backyard 4th of July party we shared earlier this week, you guys? As promised, we have some more kid-friendly 4th of July party inspiration, thanks to Megan Welker and the team at Beijos Events. This party has another fun take on red, white, and blue with some pretty peonies and creative desserts and an expertly curated kids’ table, because that’s what happens when the mamas in attendance are hostesses too!

There is seriously no shortage of creative 4th of July desserts in this party, mamas.

Frost Your Cookie really brought it with the USA and star-spangled treats.

Meghann Miniello whipped up this playful invite for the occasion.

Pretty sure “Party in the USA” is officially a classic 4th of July theme.

We can always count on Creative Amme for fun little party details!

And how easy and yet totally fun is a balloon wall backdrop for a party like this? Reminds us of this heart balloon backdrop from way back when. Simple and festive!

Did we mention the stars of the show, right here?! The girls donned Kinder Co clothing and accessories from The Daydream Republic. There’s some fun swimwear mixed in too!

Mamas, we have some super duper good 4th of July inspo for you this year, with two fun kiddo parties coming to you before the week’s over. First up is a darling stars and stripes floral party from our gal Jacqui of Deets & Things. She toned town the traditional red, white, and blue color palette by opting for more peaches and baby blues and all the little ones in attendance dressed the part, which was, of course, beyond cute. Not Just in Novels painted babies breath floral arrangements in their 4th of July color palette, making for some srsly unique decor.

And you gotta have a couple structured activities for the kiddos.

Mildly obsessed with these playful party invitations by Pigment and Parchment. Gets us so so excited for summer!

Jacqui explains, The kids table was draped in the perfect striped linen by Wolf and Irving. Her endless choices of linen for all your home and party occasions are a planner’s dream! We decked the table out in jazzy star plates from Meri Meri, the cutest drink stirrers by Delovely Details and the cheeriest blooms from Not Just In Novels. Above, I hung paper lantern stars that twinkled in the light summer breeze.

The girls were outfitted in soft red, white, and blue ensembles from Alice + Ames. Look how cute they are!

This sweet shoot Callie of Callie Hardman Photography + Julia of Water’s Edge Design hosted embodies all our fave things about the 4th of July: memories, community, and lots o’ big smiles. Callie says, I believe it’s the smallest impacts that make the largest changes! I see these faces and I KNOW our future is bright, and so are theirs. They are kind, compassionate, loving kids. They have parents who care deeply and are actively involved in their success and the success of the children around them. This is what patriotism means to me. It means we give kids the freedom to see their fullest potential and to learn to be kind, and we create circles where it’s not just about our individual child(ren) but a community.

Let’s end the week with a 4th of July inspired shoot that is both totally freaking adorable and super special to the mama and her little girls in the photos. Their papa is deployed for 12 long months, and as a surprise Ashley planned this shoot using family heirlooms that she knew he would love. Jessica Roberts captured these two so beautifully.

So summery and fun! And their gingham pinafores?!

The vintage flag is a family heirloom and we’re betting it’s means something extra special to a serviceman on the 4th of July.

So beautiful and sweet and thoughtful.

Happy 4th to everyone, and especially those military families with a parent overseas this summer.

This fun shoot comes from Lauren Bailey and Sweet and Saucy shop, inspired by Madmen and Americana. It’s kind of amazing, if you ask us.

A little about Lauren’s inspiration:

“Inspired by the genius of Mad Men and it’s final season, I wanted to couple that with my love for all things Americana and create a retro Fourth of July dream party. I sourced almost all of the vintage tableware from the 1960′s playing with red, white, and blue patterns to create a fun and patriotic mid century feel. I am so intrigued by this decade and it was so neat to be able to relive some moments with these pieces during this project!”

Oh Don.

It’s just bursting with 4th of July, retro goodness.
