If you’ve been inspired by the boy’s birthday parties we’ve shared before, you’re probably familiar with the ones Jacquelyn of Beijos Events has styled up for her little man Court. There’s the critter-themed 1st birthday, the dino 2nd birthday, and of course, his superhero birthday party a couple years back. This time around, we’re celebrating his 5th (can you believe it?!), which he specifically requested be camping-themed. It all took place right at home and even included some reptile entertainment from the crew at Prehistoric Pets. See more photos by Alison Bernier below!

This event designer mama usually steers clear of the color red, but when it’s your little dude’s fave, it’s gotta be there. Enter lots and lots o’ plaid!

Srsly, who knew a plaid blanket could be such a rad backdrop?! And balloons too, of course.

A backyard campout is the very best kind of campout.

There were balloons, deer, buffalo plaid, and plenty of s’mores desserts for the kiddos to enjoy.
