How to host and plan a sweet, thoughtful pastel birthday at home… for twins!
Morning, friends! Anyone have a 1st birthday on the books? This thoughtful party comes complete with tips on planning your own at-home 1st birthday, from mama and event planner, Sarah Schmidt. As you can imagine, the two biggest investments for Sarah’s twins’ 1st birthday were photography and desserts. Daddy Cakes Bakery whipped up the cake, cupcakes, and macarons.

Sarah says, I saved money by only paying for one professional flower arrangement and doing the others myself; by using some vases and cake stands I already had; by cooking our own barbecue rather than having the party catered; by installing the florals and doing all decorating ourselves; and, of course, by having it at home!
Can’t forget a birthday outfit for the twins!
