Orange fiesta-themed baby shower
Wanna set your baby shower or next party apart from the rest? Our fave cheerful but oft-overlooked hue, orange, should do the trick. When the gals at Sweet Root Village began planning their dear friend Rachele’s baby shower, they wanted something to match her bold, fabulous personality and love of color. And what better to rep all that than an orange fiesta?! Not only is it so fun, it totally made up for the fact that this was actually a summery poolside soiree turned indoor celebration, thanks to an unexpected change in weather (AKA downpour).

Luckily they were able to take this already-beautiful indoor space up a notch with all their fiesta-themed details and lots and lots of foliage.
Aren’t these coral invites from Flourishing Penguin too perfect? Love that piñata-inspired fringe!
The team shares, A bold color was obviously the way to go here and we started with bright oranges and peaches and decided to play it low key with flowers and go WILD with plant life! Thankfully, there is an incredible local company, Modern Foliage, that focuses on plant rentals. They pulled up to the party with a truck full of gorgeous plants that perfectly suited the vibe in pretty baskets and containers! The room felt complete once we added a ton of fun mod orange, rattan, and wicker furniture from Something Vintage, complete with a stunning backdrop of orange balloons cascading around the window from All About Balloons!
BTW, the cake from Fleur & Flour was passion fruit and vanilla buttercream flavored with chocolate ganache… DROOL.
They had guests bring unwrapped gifts of baby clothes to add to the baby’s “closet” display. That way everyone got to peruse all the gifts without taking a ton of time out for a formal unwrapping.
Relish Catering channeled the theme with traditional Mexican bites as well as a mashed potato bar including fried green tomatoes for toppings. Can’t forget the margaritas!
And Toastworthy rolled on up in their vintage airstream.
Rachele’s friends and fam traveled from all over for the fiesta, and Mailey Shimon got her all dolled up for the occasion.
We gotta say, we can’t imagine having this party anywhere else than this beautiful abode! What a way to brighten up a rainy day, right? All the best to Rachele + her baby boy!
