Happy Halloween, mamas! Are you all set for an eve out with the littles? They were inspired by the sweet children’s book Vampirina Ballerina, and are perfect if your little gal loves Halloween but wants something not-so-spooky. ‘Vampirina Ballerina meets Itsy Bitsy Spider’ was the official party theme. Too good, right?

The Itsy Bitsy Spider started as our theme song and then things took a slightly darker turn when we were introduced to Vampirina Ballerina in the book store. There was no going back! This adorable not so scary children’s story now on Disney Junior set the stage for our halloween play date. We knew just what costumes to pick since the halloween line from tutu du monde that The Borrowed Boutique rents featured bats, crows, sparrows and spiders!

Any modern party that still manages to incorporate dress up and crafting is a major win in our books.

The girls decorated felt spiders, made their own spider webs with paper plates and yarn, and colored in their spooky house coloring pads.

Can’t forget story time!

The googley eye situation may have gotten a *tad* out of control…
