Amanda’s modern boho baby shower at the Parachute Hotel
Happy Monday, mamas! We have such a special post to share with you this morning. Our girl Amanda is expecting her first baby in September, so naturally we called in some of our very favorite creative people in our industry to help shower her in an extra pretty way. This party has been a long time coming, and we are just so over the moon happy for her to welcome a little boy into her family next month. Keep reading to see all the pretty details and the beautiful photos by Heather Kincaid.
Our friends at Minted printed these chic, minimal invites, (including Thank You cards for her to use after the shower), and they were perfect for the vibe of the party. We let the gorgeous Parachute Hotel decor set the tone for the event, which you will see below. Wish we could move in!
Our beautiful mama-to-be! (Also, strong pillow game, no?)
Her cute dress is by Eberjey.
All the flowers came from our friend Megan of Honey & Poppies. She has such a way with interesting floral combos and is so lovely to work with.
It takes a village to throw a party and support a friend through pregnancy and motherhood. So happy to be part of Amanda’s.
Cast Iron Catering made delicious finger foods for a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes the food can seem a little confusing for an event like this… is it brunch, do we serve a sit-down lunch? In the end they created a yummy menu of finger foods for an afternoon soiree, following by a sundae bar from Jeni’s Ice Cream (conveniently located directly below the venue).
Jaimi made these yummy shrubs for mocktail-y goodness, which we mixed with La Croix (duh!).
And we served the most perfectly blush-y rosé from Justin Vineyards for the non-pregnant set.
Sarah planned a DIY block print project so that everyone could contribute to Amanda’s baby trousseau. She mixed muslin swaddles, bibs, and burp clothes together, and we used pre-cut sponge blocks or potatoes for shapes.
Seriously the most delicious and fun addition to an event! Jeni’s has a cute little cooler they bring and scoop three flavors plus toppings for DIY sundaes. So so yummy.
Our favorite cakestress, Danielle Keene of Sheila Mae made this beautiful drippy masterpiece that tasted even better than it looks. She is a miracle worker with flour and sugar and frosting. And Cassandra of borrowed BLU lent her gorgeous napkins, plates, and forks to make eating these slices feel like an even more special occasion.
Amanda’s dear friend Kendra put together a sweet little quiz about Amanda and her husband Tim as kids. It’s always so fun learning all the quirky details of childhood!
They’re going to make such a beautiful little boy! Congratulations mama Amanda. We couldn’t be more excited for you to meet your baby next month.
And thanks to all of our talented industry friends who helped with this party!
