Romantic maternity photos in Italy
You all know the amazing work of Jen Huang (who we’ve been lucky enough to feature here on Cakelet and over on our wedding blog, too), right? Her photos are so dreamy and ethereal and we adore seeing how she styles a shoot, too, like she did with her own maternity photos while abroad in Italy during her second trimester with boy #2. Even better, Jen’s equally talented photog pals Elihu Bogan, Eric Kelley, and Kurt Boomer were there to document these sweet moments, making the whole sesh even more meaningful…
Jen donned custom made maternity robes from Girl and a Serious Dream for the shoot.
So romantic.
Jen says, As I was already surrounded by my friends, this was more of a casual shoot, I knew just a few meaningful shots would be all I needed for these precious memories, especially done by such wonderful and talented colleagues. Keeping the details simple really allowed for the mood of the maternity to come through, without taking away from the more elaborate decor of the villa.
She’d also been taking classes from makeup pro Chiali Meng Artistry, so in addition to the styling, Jen dreamt up the beauty look too.
And Lora Kelley worked her magic on mama’s tresses.
