Mother’s Day brunch inspiration and our new cards with Hallmark

Mother's Day brunch ideas

If you happened to pop over to 100 Layer Cake this morn’, you might’ve noticed that we revealed our Mother’s Day card collection with Hallmark! Just like our Hallmark Signature card line, we were inspired by all the beautiful events + parties we share everyday, but this time around we looked to all the inspiration for mamas we’ve been lucky enough to share with you. To celebrate, the mom’s behind Hallmark’s blog Think.Make.Share created THE cutest lil’ mamas-only brunch inspired by our four-card collection. You’re going to want to try all the DIY projects, ASAP!

First of all, there were lots of paper flowers involved, so we knew right off the bat this was a Cakelet-approved fête. Our You’re Gorgeous card inspired them to make long-lasting flowers, and they even and provided templates and instructions for these DIY crepe-paper peonies for you guys to make your own. And there are lots more Mother’s Day DIYs where that came from!

Naturally we’re always inspired by parties and events in our designs, so each of our cards is like a mini piece of party decor. The Hallmark crew wanted to create a real-life version of ‘em. Pretty killer idea, if you ask us! And such a sweet way to celebrate all the mamas in your life.

Isn’t it sooo nice to see an inspiring party and be able to get all the deets on how it came together? The big, wall-size banner took its vibrant pastel palette and simple shapes from the Happy Mom’s Day card.

Here it is. Perfect for your mama friends, too!

Fruit and goat cheese bruschetta? Yep, they’ve got the recipe for this pretty little snack, too.

The paper flower on this card is removable with a clip for mom to wear.

Plants always make for easy, beautiful (and hopefully long lasting!) gifts, and these canvas planter wraps are super easy to whip up and personalize.

You can officially shop all the Hallmark Signature + 100 Layer Cakelet cards and pass ‘em around at your own Mother’s Day celebrations. Yay!

The team behind Think.Make.Share documented the day on video too. Take a peek!

Thanks to Think.Make.Share for putting together this festive shoot! Friends, be sure to pop by their blog today for a behind the scenes look into the making of our Mother’s Day cards, which you can shop online or in Gold Crown stores.
