Surprise maternity photos in Barcelona

This shoot + pregnancy announcement coming to us from Carmen of Devoted To You Inc. has the most darling story behind it that is sure to give all you mamas loads of inspo for baby #2. She styled up this whole maternity shoot so that she could break the news to the big-sis-to-be Jillian while on a family vacay in Barcelona. Sara Frost Photography was there for all the sweet moments below!

Carmen says, This photoshoot has meanings to me at many different levels. As a wedding planner, I’ve planned and styled photoshoots, but when it comes to styling my family photoshoot, it became a challenge of its own. We have been pretty well travelled with our little one and this was our first family trip to Europe. I wanted to have beautiful photos for keepsake, especially with the beautiful architecture in Barcelona. As we are expecting baby No. 2, I thought it would be super cute to break the news to my little girl, Jillian with these cute props that I arranged.

I planned the shoot around the things that Jillian enjoyed—a picnic in the garden. We play picnic in our backyard all the time and this was the perfect setting for us to break the news to her. Doris from Love Lettering created the Big sister sign and Michelle from Big Ass Piñata created this cute strawberry minata where I hid a letter inside for Jillian. It was pretty cold but we had a fun-filled afternoon picnicking at the Labryinth Garden and then strolling around the Gothic quarter.
