Modern folk art nursery
You all already know that we don’t shy away from pops of color around here, and either does Julie, founder and creative mind behind accessory brand Rais Case. For her little girl Kaia’s nursery, she wanted eclectic, bright, colorful, and full of personality. She teamed up with Merijam of Folk Project + Cindy of Cindy Courson Design to perfect this playful space photographed by Luna Photo.
They mixed vintage, eclectic, bohemian, and mid-century modern styles, to name a few! Aren’t Folk Project’s furniture pieces the best?
In the nursery, the team pulled from a colorful palette of bold fabrics that ranged from genuine Pendleton wool, over-dyed kilim, and Huipiles (a traditional Mayan fabric). They pulled the Malia Rocker, animal trophy heads, and stuffed animals from Folk Project’s collection of custom pieces and paired them with mix and match pillows to warm up the room. The personality of the pieces popped off of the clean and modern furniture in the room.
