Modern Kids Halloween Party from Australia
This cute kids party is a totally different take on Halloween than we’re used to here in the States. We love the cozy, spidery, ghoulish version we celebrate so much, but isn’t it fun to see an interpretation from the other side of the world? Mylar letter balloons always win.
We’ll let Jade of Hipster Mum explain the concept in her own words:
“Let’s just get it out of the way: Americans do Halloween best. But here in Sydney we’re catching up and, as a blogger, photographer and mum of two, this year I dead keen to set up and snap a quintessential Australian take on fright night – and share a few local tricks and treats along the way!
For starters, I knew we’d have to swap the pumpkin for a pineapple (DIY video instructions here). And I was determined we’d add in a few healthy snacks in with the treats. Hello, home-cooked popcorn (DIY video instructions here). I also wanted to dress the kids in clothes they actually might wear again – and so working with Kate and Ashley from soon-to-launch kids clothing site, Billie and Kate, was awesome. Those girls knew exactly the right brands to go to for black, white and super hard-wearing gear.
The final touch? A super crew of crazy kids running amok and having the time of their lives. Happy Halloween!”
Winning balloon combo right there.
Super fun and festive, right? Just a few days left, mamas!
