As if we couldn’t love Yuna Leonard more, she goes and sends us her dreamy maternity photos… that she shot herself! She’s an amazing and talented photographer as is, but this just blows everything out of the water. Oh yeah and get this, her baby boy, Bear came the day after she shot these (3 weeks early!).

Yuna’s short version of how it all went down following this shoot…

Long story short, I was 37 weeks pregnant when I took these photos, but our baby, Bear, decided to come early! He came the day after I took these. My water broke in middle of the night, we rushed to the hospital, took a nap and  then it was time to push! He was born before lunch time. It was such a surprise for both of us for him to come 3 weeks early! So don’t wait too long to book your maternity photos. Now that this happened to me I’d say, 35 to 37 weeks is a good time to take them. Sadly, one thing I missed were the photos with my hubby, Casey. I wanted to wait until the very last minute of the 40 weeks, just like my sister Rina, but Bear was being impatient! Next time for sure. Went I started contractions I went for a walk around the Silverlake Reservoir and Griffith park, and did parental yoga at home (thanks YouTube). Can’t wait to do it all over again! We want to make a big family, so this is just the beginning!
