Christmas shopping with the Nuna IVVI stroller

Like lots of you new mamas, our copy editor, Junia has been on the hunt for a stroller that’s functional and lightweight, while being beautifully designed. She recently took the Nuna IVVI stroller out for a test run while shopping at The Grove in LA with her 16 month old, and here’s what she had to say…

The first thing I noticed with the Nuna IVVI stroller is how light it is. Xiomara isn’t as light as she used to be, and it’s taken a bit of a toll on my back, so I’ve been looking for a stroller that’s easy to put in, and take out of the trunk easily. The stroller I was using previous to the IVVI was bulky and would often get stuck when trying to unfold. I didn’t have that problem with the IVVI. It’s such a smooth, glide-like setup.

The height of the stroller is another thing I loved. I could pull her right up to me at a table without having to take her out and put her in a highchair, while she snacked and I had my coffee.

The seat faces both rearward and forward, which is great for sparkly star sightings!

Storage space is another feature on the list that has to win me over. And the storage basket on the IVVI totally did. It’s huge without looking huge. I could fit our backpack diaper bag, with plenty of shopping bag space left over.

The Grove is such an amazing place to shop, eat, and people watch during the holidays. They make it snow at night, and there’s this massive Christmas tree that the kids can’t get enough of. Definitely visit if you can!

With it being sunny and pretty hot for most of the year in LA, a good shade that actually goes down far enough to cover her face, even when the sun is going down is key. That’s probably one of my favorite features of the IVVI. As is, the canopy provides enough protection, but you can unzip the top flap to pull out an extendable eyeshade.

You can read up on the IVVI’s entire list of awesome features here. It really is a great stroller that you can keep from birth until they’re done strolling. You can attach the carry cot for when they’re tiny and need to nap while cruising, snap in Nuna’s Pipa car seat for easy traveling, then face them out like I did with Xio when they’re little tots.
