DIY gift tags with Avery labels and Crafting Community
Our obsession with Crafting Community has been well-documented here on Cakelet already, so you can imagine how excited we are that they are hosting a special one day holiday event here in LA in just a few weeks. It’s Handmade Holiday, people, and it’s going to be amazing.
And since we love all things crafty and all things holiday, we did a quick little project with one their Handmade Holiday partners, Avery. DIY gift tags FTW! Such a fun and simple way to personalize your wrapping this year.
And since we all know that kids L-O-V-E stickers, this is actually a pretty fun project for little hands too. Though maybe scale back on the intricate designs a bit, for them at least.
We cut little shapes from different colored Avery labels and stuck them to basic card stock cut into tag shapes. You could also use these pre-cut Avery tags for the same effect.
Super into this navy, gold, and pink combo at the moment.
Perfect project to keep your hands busy while you watch holiday movies over the next few weeks! And not matter what color way you choose, they ALL look good wrapped with simple craft paper.
You can download these adorable special edition gift tag templates made by Crafting Community on Avery’s site too, if you’re a little short on time this year. As if we normally have just hours of excess time to make stuff during December.
And about the actual event? Here’s everything you need to know:
It’s going to be sooooo fun! We will be there and we hope to see some of you too! Just think, you’ll have grandparent presents completely done *and* wrapped when you leave. And you’ll spend a beautiful, inspired day with your children just MAKING stuff. Perfect break from holiday shopping, no?
