Creative Halloween costumes from Pottery Barn Kids, Lovechild Photo, and Beijos Events
We’re just going to come out and say it: we’re in love with Pottery Barn Kid’s Halloween costumes. If you still don’t have a costume picked out for your little ones, we’re pretty sure one of these, hanging on this wardrobe, will strike your fancy. The ladies of Beijos Events hosted a cute Halloween craft playdate with some of our favorite kiddos in the biz so that we could all see what these costumes look like in action. They were put in front of the camera, with Lovechild Photo behind the lens, and well – magic happened.
Pairing each costume with Freshly Picked was a no brainer as their moccs are super comfy, come in so many different colors, and go with everything!
Those personalized hangers from Prim and Pixie are such a sweet little touch and make great keepsakes for party guests, no?
The playdate took place at Open House Creative, which is an amazing space with a meaningful purpose in Costa Mesa, CA. They offer after-school art programs for kids and adults.
You guys are going to die over some of these costumes…
The baby donut costume (which we’ve just learned is sold out– nooo!) is modeled by Carissa Jones’s daughter, Avalon (JL Designs Florals).
These cuddly bear costumes found here and here are modeled by Erica Beukelman’s sons, Kade & Knox (1011 Makeup).
What’s better than a superhero brother + sister duo? Super Hero Amazing Girl and Amazing Boy costumes are modeled by Abby Guido’s Dylan and Jett (Beijos Events).
Pirate Girl costume modeled by Leah Carriger’s daughter, Edie (Beijos Events)
The rainbow costume is one we kind of wish came in adult size. Modeled by Meagan Uhl’s daughter, Summer (MV Florals).
A baby skunk costume! Modeled by Jacquelyn Kazas’s son, Court (Beijos Events).
The happiest little bumblebee, modeled by Junia Montaño’s daughter, Xiomara (100 Layer Cakelet).
What little lady isn’t going to love trick-or-treating in this gold snow fairy costume, modeled by Tori Hendrix’s daughter, Lucca (Sitting in a Tree Events)? Sadly that Studio Mucci mylar fringed piñata isn’t part of the costume, but it would be perfect at a Halloween party, obvs.
Love the minty tulle in this mint fairy costume, modeled by Cassidy Freitas’ daughter, Rylie (O My Darlings Blog)
This Where the Wild Things Are Max costume will never get old, ever! Modeled by Carissa Jones’s son, Decker (JL Designs Florals).
We mean… they’re ALL so cute, right? We know a lot of them are sadly sold out, but we are just two weeks away from Halloween, and they’re just such amazing costumes. They’ve still got a whole lot more available though, so make sure to check out the Pottery Barn Kid’s Halloween Costume section. You can also snag some treat bags & Halloween decor (they’re all on sale!) in time for the big day; or visit their blog, Building Blocks for lots of cute craft ideas!
Gosh, we love this holiday! P.S. Lovechild Photo is announcing mini sessions in different cities, so make sure to follow them to hear if they’re coming your way. Their work is just the best.
Big thanks to these folks for such an adorable shoot: Pottery Barn Kids, Freshly Picked, Love Child, Studio Mucci, Prim and Pixie, Ritual Wellness (they supplied super tasty organic juices for all the mamas), Open House Creative.

I mean! These are the cutest things ever! Too bad the donut is sold out, but that little skunk is adorable too.
