Beatrix Potter inspired girls nursery
When that nesting phase hits during pregnancy it can be easy to go out and buy accessible, modern pieces to design baby’s room. But what if you designed it to resemble the room you grew up in? Handmade art, a sentimental quilt sewn by grandma, the collection of Beatrix Potter books you had as a child… That’s the feeling we get when we peek inside the nursery Emily designed for her 3rd baby girl.
The room was actually centered around that pink & emerald quilt. It was made by Emily’s husband’s grandmother. She made a baby quilt for each of their 5 yr old twins when they were born, but passed away the year before they got pregnant with baby #3.
Beautiful family, aren’t they?
If you look closely you can see two family portraits that the twins drew. Emily backed them with decorative paper and framed them. Cute!
Love this accent wall!
The Beatrix Potter books were from her husbands nursery when he was a baby.
A little chalkboard paint on dresser doors is perfect for when baby is able to stand and scribble around.
We bet they can’t wait to read books to their little sister!
