Girly pink 1st birthday
Just like the invitation says, this 1st birthday party really was the sweetest celebration. We’re tipping our hats to Carly Kmyta. She crafted her butt off, and in the process she made a lot of great money-saving decisions that we think you can all benefit from. Yeah maybe the fringe garland wall and balloon tassels took weeks to create, but it was so worth it!
Never underestimate the power of the clearance sale at Target. That’s where these invites were from (only $2!). To give them a little more of a cute factor, she slipped them in pink, chevron paper bags from Thatch and Thistle and wrapped them in a fringy thread.
The tassels for the giant balloons took weeks to make, but she used tissue paper from Target, the dollar store, and even found some wholesale, so she saved $$$.
With leftover tissue paper Carly made wallflowers to display all of Lux’s newborn photos.
Ah, we love that giant fringe garland backdrop, and Oh Happy Day for showing us all how to make it ourselves!
Happy birthday sweet Lux!
