A gorgeous pregnant bride and Napa Valley wedding
We’ve gotten in the habit of sharing maternity shoots on Fridays and today we have a little something different… and kind of the same too. Yes, Cakelet is in theory about what happens after you’re done reading the wedding blog, but often life has other ideas about the order of major events.
Julia Lake planned this pretty wedding in Napa Valley for her sister a few years ago that completely embraced the bride’s pregnancy. The entire wedding was inspired by fertility, nesting, and celebrating both bringing two families together and starting a new family between the bride and groom.
The bride’s vintage dress was picked up at a “gypsy shack” in Bodega Bay with her mom the month before the wedding. And her friend altered it just a few days before to accommodate her growing belly.
They were married at the bride’s parents’ house in Napa Valley, because it’s spectacular and intimate and feels very close to their family.
Lots of music and champagne and love.
So simple and pretty and full of all the love that really matters in this world.
You can see more photos of the wedding in the original post on Snippet & Ink a few years ago.
