Modern woodland, ice cream social 1st birthday party for Alder
Kay, now that we’ve seen Mara’s mood board, here’s the fun part… Alder’s adorable little party. Perfect amount of decor, with a fun modern theme. We heart.
Mara is a designer so naturally she made the invites herself. They are sooo good!
A bit of woodland inspiration to celebrate Alder’s namesake.
Yummy ice cream, all homemade by friends and family. Cake batter, honey lavender, chocolate peanut butter, fresh mint chocolate chunk, and strawberry basil. WOW.
Naturally there would be a bit of fringe.
And some made-at-home garlands + a folk-art style tablecloth.
Even his pressie matched the party!
Mara made a quick, simple smash cake covered in white sprinkles. Apple cinnamon since Alder loves applesauce and cinnamon. Lots of smashing coming up.
Also of note, and a very good idea if you have homemade ice cream on hand: root beer floats!
First taste of ice cream must be mind-blowing.
Nice, bud! Happy birthday little guy. And thank you so much for sharing his cute party, Mara!
