Esme’s vintage French nursery

Categories   Nursery + Kids Room Decor

The inspiration for Esme’s nursery came from mama Megan and papa Kevin’s shared love for all things French. He’s a chef trained in classic French cuisine, she’s a visual designer, and they both love French music, vintage french furniture, and even French names. Esmé means “to love” (in French of course!) and she certainly looks like a well-loved little doll.

Megan wanted her daughter’s room to feel feminine, with soft colors and textures, and bit of vintage French decor. As she said herself, “FRENCH FRENCH FRENCH.” Ha ha. Love it, Megan. All of the furniture in the nursery (except the crib) was old, and refinished/redesigned by Megan.

Love that sweet rain drop mobile! The “La vie en rose” print is from Sycamore Street Press, an old French love song that Megan and Kevin walked down the aisle to at their wedding.

That crib is truly gorgeous… totally worth a look on the Restoration Hardware site so you can see the detail.

She painted and stenciled the end table herself to read “La Vie En Rose” too.

That beautiful rocking chair was a surprise gift from Megan’s dad to her mom when she came home from the hospital 31 years ago. AWWWW.
