Sophisticated black & white baby shower for Chelsea of Sugar Paper LA
Ahh the evening shower. It’s definitely our favorite kind. Chelsea (of the lovely LA stationery co. Sugar Paper) was certain she didn’t want a shower for baby #2, but her friend and business partner Jamie (remember them from our Inspiring Moms feature?) had other plans. She threw a gorgeous backyard dinner party, full of lots of yummy details. We love when a celebration like this becomes a special time to catch up with your bestest friends in a beautiful space.
The invites were beautiful, of course. With gorgeous calligraphy by Lisa Holtzman.

Aren’t Chelsea and Jamie cute? What great partners. Chelsea said the highlight of the night was when the hostesses asked her questions about the baby that they had first asked her three-year-old son to answer. She was then asked to guess how he would respond. For example:
What will the baby eat?
Chelsea’s answer: milk
Owen’s answer: Pizza
What will the baby’s name be if it’s a boy?
Chelsea’s answer: He thinks the baby is going to be named Sally… I have no idea why!
Owen’s answer: Sally
What will the baby’s name be if it’s a girl?
Chelsea’s answer: Again, Sally… I have no idea why!
Owen’s answer: Sally

ohmigosh... "Sally"... that is SO cute. gorgeous shower, love it all, and the guests seem to be having a lovely time! also, i'm allowed to have a baby shower for baby #2? hooray, hooray!! ^__^
