As you may know, we’ve seen loads and loads of rainbow parties in our day. (The proof is in the archives, friends.) And they’re always so insanely fun. They kinda have to be, right? But there’s just something extra about channeling that when it comes time to shower a mama-to-be like Cammy of Show Me Your Mumu. If you followed her bridal shower, bachelorette party, and lakeside wedding over on 100LC, you’re probably as stoked as we are to get a peek at this next chapter in Cammy’s life—in all its rainbow, California-inspired glory, of course… Thanks to Sarah Jansson for the photos, and mama C for sharing her story, below!

The whole fete was planned by her pal Sarah Horton of Show Me Your Mumu and lots of other thoughtful friends.

They included super sweet and simple DIY projects throughout, like rainbow vases that were actually just clear vases covered in multicolored jelly bracelets. Clever, huh?

Cammy says, The shower theme was “Rainbow Baby Brunch”. We are having a girl, but I am not a huge pink person so wanted to pick a theme that felt fun and girly without being pink overload. We wanted bright colors in the flowers, decor, and food and, of course, the clothes! All of the hosts wore primary or bright colored solids and I wore a rainbow dress! I designed my dress for my baby shower–a simple smocked maxi meant to be worn while pregnant and not pregnant. I have started saying #pregsandregs for clothes that can be worn either way.

And the diaper note station, where everyone left notes on diapers for them to read when changing diapers… Hopefully turning their late night exhaustion into late night laughs!

The girls also made this rad rainbow streamer entryway backdrop out of florist ribbon, which is recyclable and waterproof, so it’s much more party-friendly than tissue streamers. Noted!

On what has inspired her the most when planning for baby… This is our first and I am a little behind on planning things and, honestly, I am OK with that. Allowing myself to enjoy this period and appreciating these last few months where it is just me, my husband, and our dog has been really special! I am behind on my nursery, but starting to tackle it this month! I found most of my nursery inspiration from pinterest and instagram. Babyletto has great nursery inspo, 100 Layer Cakelet has awesome party and decor inspo, and Spearmint for cute clothes!

I spent my whole life babysitting adorable children that have grown into beautiful adults that I still keep up with to this day! To have our own little babe that we can raise and love is so exciting! I truly can’t wait for all of it—the good, the bad—I want it all and I am really just so grateful to finally be a mama.
