Family newborn photos in San Diego
Did you all get a chance to peek at yesterday’s nursery + family newborn photos? Today we’ve got a fresh new set of lovely family newborn photos, this time coming to us from Taylor Cole and mama and dad Jen + Shane. They decided to welcome Taylor into their home when their newest, Kaleo was at two months to give their whole crew a bit more time to settle in. See how it turned out below!
Mama Jen says, Rather than shooting within the first 2 weeks like many newborn sessions, we decided to wait until Kaleo was two months so that he would be awake and more interactive. I think there can be too much pressure to shoot immediately after you give birth, and it just felt right for our family to have some time to settle into life as four.
What better place than their bed, where they co-sleep, to give off the cozy, intimate vibes they wanted?
Not to mention the beautiful natural lighting in this space!
My favorite images are the ones of me breast feeding and the one of us lying down encircling him, all connected. Everything about having Kaleo has been so peaceful and healing after having our older daughter born early at 30 weeks and living in the NICU, and we wanted this shoot to really reflect that feeling of wholeness and joy!
Looks like the PERFECT time for a newborn family shoot to us!
